Nowadays I don’t write about everything I play so it’s not a comprehensive list of games I’e played. Opinions and perspectives change over time (I am generally less harsh these days I think), but I left old posts up because they are likely an accurate reflection about what I felt at the time.

I wonder what the criteria is for a Visual Novel that determines if it gets adapted into an anime or a hentai… Yosuga no Sora being adapted into an anime really broke some down a lot of those rules I think.

Oh, I judge the games on their own merits too, I just wrote a review on how Chaos;Head lost a lot of it’s followers because of it’s anime adaption. I would just be interested in how such a decision would go.

I don’t keep up with anime so I have no idea whether most adaptations are good or bad unless I hear them mentioned a lot. I did hear lots of bad things about C;H’s anime, but I don’t really see how a bad adaptation would turn off existing fans of the source material.
Of course, a bad anime will generally discourage newcomers from even trying the source material, so it is definitely detrimental to the series’ overall reputation.

It’s the same effect a movie gets if it has a bad sequel, it’s original doesn’t change but people’s view of it does.

Depends on what kind of things you like/are looking for. Anything with a median of 85 or above with 800+ votes on EGS will probably be considered “best eroge” by a good number of people.

Came for the galge review, stayed and read everything else. Yr writing style is quite entertaining to read as well. Pity i have no moonrune reading ability so cannot try some of ur recommendations.
