Not saying that I will definitely change, but I’m curious to see what the majority of my readers prefer.
The wall of text is what I usually do right now, where I’m too lazy to separate things into different categories (although I do end up talking about different aspects separately). Breaking down a game into its core aspects is what I sometimes do, with different sections for gameplay, story, visuals, etc. A pros and cons list is exactly what it sounds like. I state what is good, what is bad, BAM it’s done.
Review length is self-explanatory. Right now I include a plot summary and describe the battle systems and write wordy reviews. If I include only my opinions and cut out the part where I try to explain how you fight or what the plot is, my reviews would be much shorter.
I like rambling on, but maybe some people don’t. I definitely won’t add a score grading system though, because a lot of what I like is subjective, and I don’t want people scrolling down to the very bottom of a page, see that I gave a game 6/10, and leave, not knowing that the aspects I didn’t like may be exactly what they like or vice versa.
