There are several different limited editions of the Chinese release of Ys Seven depending on where you buy it from, each with minor differences.
First up is the box. There’s 5 different box covers. There’s the general cover, which is the default one (has the generic RPG look that includes all characters). The other four are unique to select online sellers. I have the Amazon cover, which looks like this:
The Limited Edition comes with a bunch of stuff, cellphone pictures (bad lighting in my room in China) after the cut.
There’s the game CD, manual, activation key + guide, and a drvier disc that should come with every copy of the game regardless:
The LE comes with both a guide book and an art book:
There’s a prologue short story, printed at around the size of a PSP game manual:
The LE is nice enough to give you a USB controller, since controller > keyboard for Ys. Mine came with a red controller that has the Playstation buttons (O, X, square, triangle), but some come with a white version that has the 1,2,3,4 buttons. Both have the Ys Seven logo on top:
There’s the Adol Christin figure and Ys Seven logo necklace that comes with every LE, and also a nendoroid petite sized figure of Reah:
The Adol figure and logo come with every limited edition, but only the 4 seller-unique LE’s get the petite heroine figure. The Amazon LE comes with Reah, but some others get Tia or Feena. If you want them all, tough luck. There’s no Aisha…
Adol Figure (I won’t remove it from the packaging until I get home, but it’s reportedly 18 cm tall):
Reah figure:
Also unique to the seller-specific LE’s are Ao no Kiseki glass paperweights. There’s 4 different images depending on which seller. The Amazon LE has the swimsuit pic of KeA and Tio (Reportedly, the other 3 sellers get Tio, Elie, and Rixia. Eye-candy for straight girls? What’s that?):
Don’t ask me what a Kiseki paperweight is doing in an Ys Seven LE. I ain’t complaining though, since I get a swimsuit Tio.
All of the above for 299 Yuan, which translates to about $47 USD. The only downside is that there’s no CD for awesome Ys music. The four online sellers that have their own limited editions likely don’t do international shipping though (at least Amazon China doesn’t). This is the limited edition for mainland China, in simplified Chinese. YesAsia is selling the Traditional Chinese LE for $90, which reportedly includes the books, short story, and an extra poster, but no figures or controller. Play-Asia has what I think is the same Traditional Chinese LE, for $70.

Ys Seven Deluxe Limited Edition (Amazon version) – 299 Yuan
Ys Seven Deluxe Limited Edition (General version) – 295 Yuan (normally 299, but Amazon cut the price by 4 Yuan)
Ys Seven First Press Limited Edition 1 – 99 Yuan, includes 6 art cards, Dragon Knights emblem, and one of four Ys logo iPhone 4/4S covers (choice from Ys6, Ys7, Felghana, and Origin)
Ys Seven First Press Limited Edition 2 – 95 Yuan due to Amazon price cut, only comes with game and iPhone 4/4S covers
There’s no reason to get the general LE over the Amazon-specific one if you live in China/can order from Amazon China. You get the Reah figure and Ao no Kiseki paperweight, for what is about 60 cents USD more. Similarly, there is no reason to get the inferior 95 Yuan First Press LE over the 99 Yuan one, as you get more stuff for 60 cents more.
