Kimi Ga Ita Kisetsu – Kazama Touko

Touko is Misae’s kouhai in Hakuryou, and they’re good friends that stick to each other so their routes are pretty similar for the most part. Route was short and there was only 1 h-scene, but I felt it flowed better than Misae’s route since the story was about Touko in the first place. Touko is a polite ojou-sama who began to admire Masaki after he took a fabulous photo of them and has set him as her goal. She plays the violin and wants to go pro, so she looks up to Masaki who is also working towards being a pro at an art. She is good at the violin but her playing has no emotion so she joined the student council to get more life experiences.

Same as Misae’s route, Masaki comes back in late September of 1999 and gets invited to watch Touko’s violin concours. She does badly and Masaki, having no idea that she likes him, just says “I JUST WANNA BE YOUR STRENGTH, YOU CAN TELL ME ANYTHING” (well, not in capslock, but I like to type my quotes in capslock) and Misae rages at him as usual. After they leave he realizes that Touko left her violin at the concours place so he takes it with the intention of returning it later.

He goes to Hakuryou to return it and in this route, Touko didn’t become a hikki so she’s still working as the student council president and pretending that everything is fine. Of course everything is not fine and she doesn’t want the violin and she tells him to throw it away. Some days later Misae tells Masaki to go to the Hakuryou rooftop and she will bring Touko up there and attempt to get her to tell Masaki everything. When Masaki arrives at the rooftop he sees Yuuko who is there because she is bored. She tells him that Touko will be playing the violin during the Hakuryou cultural festival. Misae brings Touko up and attempts to get her to talk to Masaki, but she just says she’s busy and doesn’t want to talk to him. Masaki tries to get her to man up and play the violin again and says the “I WANNA BE YOUR STRENGTH” line again, casuing Misae to rage at him. This time Misae goes overboard and starts insulting him, so much that Touko butts in to defend him. During the process she ends up revealing all her feelings (about wanting to convery her love for Masaki during the concours and planning to confess after winning, but then failed) and Misae is like “lol good job, I only raged at him so you’d say your true feelings.” By this time it’s pretty obvious that Touko liked Masaki, but when she confesses he’s just like “WUT.” She says she will be waiting for a reply on Sunday. Also, the whole time Yuuko was watching lol.

They meet up on Sunday and Masaki asks her to promise him that she’ll work hard for her performance at the Hakuryou cultural fetisval. Only after that will he tell her his answer. Later that night he gets a call from a worried Misae becasue Touko start practicing like crazy but he tells her not to worry. Masaki doesn’t actually go to the Hakuryou festival because he has work, so Touko goes to find him at night. She tells him that she failed during her solo, but it turns out that she was just trolling (side effect of being friends with Misae, definitely) and her solo went well. He freaking finally admits that he likes her and she takes out her violin and plays the song that she screwed up on during the contest. It turns out nice-sounding this time and they go to Masaki’s apartment for the h-scene (lol I’ve gotten TOO used to sex right after confession, it seems. Now it doesn’t seem odd at all).

In the epilogue, Touko studied aboard in New York after high school and is now a pro violinist while Masaki just became independent from Helmut. It seems that Masaki proposed to her already ^_^

Hnnng Touko was cute. Her violin CG was realy nice. Still a bummer about having only 1 h-scene, but it was at least decent length. It seems that without realizing it, I’ve begun to care about h-scenes…I used to be the innocent “SKIP ALL ERO” type too… Now I’ve got Yayoi, Yuri, and the MuvLuv Alternative Chronicles side-story about Michiru to go. Misae’s and Touko’s routes made me want moar Alternative now. Hm…
