Ehh, late summary this week since I had no school yesterday and forgot it was Monday, and I just finished my Japanese final exam today. Not to mention busy playing TitS.
So this episode is about some annoying short kid with stupid hair and glasses and a really annoying verbal tic named Tokunosuke. He obviously thinks something is up with Yuuma because he sucks ass at dueling yet he beat Shark in a duel. The kid tries to give Yuuma Baby Tragon, an Exceed monster, as a sign of friendship but then Tetsuo and Kotori drag him away and tell Yuuma that the kid is up to no good.
The next day, Astral is inside Yuuma’s necklace exploring that world inside and finds some device with the number 17 on it. Meanwhile, that annoying kid is still trying to give Yuuma Baby Tragon but Kotori or Tetsuo drag him away before he could take it. He then spots Taichi, and decides to use him to get close to Yuuma.
Back at home, Onee-chan tells Yuuma he has a fan letter and is pissed that he is playing Duel Monsters. Whoa, someone who is against he kid brother playing a CHILDREN’S CARD GAME!!!??? Anyways, inside the fan letter Yuuma finds Baby Tragon. Apparently, in Yuuma’s world, mail is sent in an electronic device where a hologram pops out and reads to you the contents of the letter. Whoa.
The next day, Yuuma goes to school to find that everyone is pissed at him because they received Photoshopped pictures of Yuuma throwing a bucket of water on a teacher’s head and putting a frog in Taichi’s lunch and making him afraid to come to school. Lol. Anyways, everyone is saying that Yuuma has a hidden bad side (“ura,” which is also that annoying kids’ verbal tic), and Astral asks “What type of effect is a “hidden side”?” Then the annoying kid comes over and says things like “I believe in you, Yuuma” to pretend to be his friend. It works, but Astral sees the kid’s glowing purple aura of evil. He sticks some kind of note onto Yuuma’s back. He challenges Yuuma to a duel in hopes of trying to get Kibouou Hope, but Astral tells him not to accept it because he has a bad feeling (an obviously saw the note). Yuuma duels him anyways.
Tokunosuke’s turn. He places a monster in face down position and TURN END.
Yuuma’s turn. He summons Gagaga Magician and declares an attack on the face down monster. The face down monster is the 400 DEF Harisenbone, whose flip summon effect deals 400 damage to the opponent when it changes from face down to face up. Y’know, I’ve never actually seen this in 5D’s despite encountering it many times in Tag Force 5. Since Harisenbone’s DEF is below GGG Magician’s ATK, it gets destroyed. TURN END. Tokunosuke acts like he is extremely impressed, which somehow tocuhes Yuuma.
Kotori and Tetsuo are investigating the incident, and went to Taichi’s house. Taichi’s mother says that he went to school, thus proving a contradiction in the accusations towards Yuuma. Now! Kotori! Go all Phoenix Wright and prove your client’s innocence!! Kotori decides to look at the pictures of Yuuma messing with other people one more time (inspecting the evidence, huh?).
Tokunosuke’s turn. He once again sets a monster in face down defense position, and then places 2 cards face down and TURN END.
Yuuma’s turn. He summons Full Elf and declares an attack on the face down monster. Astral can tell that this is a trap and tells Yuuma not to do it, but Yuuma refuses to listen as usual. The face down monster is Chuubone, whose flip effect allows it to special summon 3 Chuubone Jr. to the opponent’s field. Yuuma’s like “WTF lol you summoned on my field” and Tokunosuke plays innocent and pretends that he made a Yuuma-level stupid mistake. Yuuma uses GGG Magician to directly attack Tokunosuke, dropping his LP to 2500.
Tokunosuke’s plan was to have Yuuma use the 3 Chuubone Jr. to Exceed summon Baby Tragon, but Yuuma was too fail to notice he could Exceed summon lololol. So Yuuma was almost too stupid to fall for Tokunosuke’s plan, but then he told him he could and he did. Astral sees through Tokunosuke’s trap and can tell that one of his 2 face down cards is the trump and tells Yuuma not to Exceed summon, but what kind of hot-headed 12 year old actually listens to duel spirits? So Yuuma summons Baby Tragon, and becomes real excited to Exceed summon like he has never done it before. At this moment, Tokunosuke reveals his true personality. The face down card is the continuous trap Uratora C, which allows him to take control of a monster from the opponent’s extra deck when the opponent summons Baby Tragon.
Tokunosuke also reveals that he was the one who sent Yuuma the fan letter and Photoshopped pictures of Yuuma pranking other people just to take his Kibouou Hope (not like it wasn’t obvious). Then he tells Yuuma he stuck a note on his back, which reads “The winner of this duel will take a card from the loser.” I don’t get how this is supposed to work, because don’t contracts require signatures of both parties…? Anyways, it seems like Astral has discovered the meaning of humans’ “hidden side.”
Anyways, Toranosuke activates his trap card and summons Kibouou Hope. It shouldn’t matter though, since Yuuma has taken other people’s ace monsters. Also, since Tokunosuke is glowing in that purple aura, he is probably possessed by a Numbers too.
Bleh, annoying kid is annoying. This episode is extremely dull, and that probably applies to the next episode too. We need the presence of some evil organization real quick…Or at least some interesting characters. I mean, we need someone to be Jack Atlas’ (unsatisfactory) replacement on this show!!!
