HERE IT IS! THE 2 EPISODE FINALE! It’s here! And I’m actually typing this while I watch each part instead of doing it afterwards to make it last longer. Don’t want it to end OTL
We left off last episode with Stardust Dragon and Red Demon’s Dragon removed from play for 3 turns, and both Jack’s and Yusei’s fields are empty. Jack sets one card face down and TURN end.
Yusei’s turn. He sends one monster to the graveyard to special summon Quick Synchron. He then special summons two Triangle Tokens on the opponent’s field in defense position to special summon Triangle Warrior from his hand. He tunes Triangle Warrior and Quick Synchron to synchro summon Nitro Warrior. He then activates the speed spell, Defense Buster. When he has 2 or more speed counters, he can turn one of the opponent’s defense position monster to attack position. One of the Triangle Tokens on Jack’s field is turned to attack position, and Nitro Warrior’s effect raises its own attack points by 1000 to 3800 if a spell was used. Also, Nitro Warrior’s other effect will turn another defense position monster to attack position and force it to battle if it (Nitro Warrior) destroys a monster. If the attacks go through, Jack would be 1HKO’ed.
It wouldn’t be an interesting duel if Jack just loses here, so he activates the trap card, Break Tune. When the opponent attacks, he can summon a tuner monster from his hand and negate the attack. Jack summons Influence Dragon (?lol this doesn’t sound the least bit right) and negates the attack. Nitro Warrior’s attack returns to 2800. TURN END.
Jack already found his future, so he doesn’t hesitate one bit. Jack’s turn! When Influence Dragon is used as synchro material, it turns the two Triangle Tokens to Dragon-type. He tunes the two Triangle Tokens and Influence Dragon to synchro summon Explode Wing Dragon. Its attack is still lower than Nitro Warrior’s attack, so Jack summons Power Supplier in defense position. Power Supplier’s effect increases Explode Wing Dragon’s ATK by 400 to 2800, the same as Nitro Warrior’s. Jack attask Nitro Warrior with Explode Wing Dragon. Even though their attacks are the same, Nitro Warrior got destroyed and Yusei took 2800 damage, dropping him to 1200 LP! This is due to Explode Wing Dragon’s effect where if it attacks a monster with equal or less ATK, damage calculation is ignored and damage equal to the destroyed monster is dealt to the opponent. Yusei’s hand is now at 0, and his LP are 1200. Jack sets one card face down and TURN END.
Yusei’s turn. He draws Sneak Giant, whose effect allows him to special summon a level 1 monster from the graveyard and summon Sneak Giant without tributing if the opponent has a monster on his field. He summons Turbo Synchron with Sneak Giant. He tunes Turbo Synchron and Sneak Giant to summon Turbo Warrior. He attacks Explode Wing Dragon with Turbo Warrior. When TW battles a level 6 or above monster, that monster’s ATK points are halved. EWD’s ATK becomes 1400, and Jack’s LP drop to 2900.
Everyone gets fired up, and Aki has some flashbacks about how Yusei protected her through duelling. He’s happy that Yusei’s actually fighting for himself, and wants to be able to protect others too (lol the writers like to troll Faithshippers). Yusei ends his turn.
Jack’s turn! When the opponent’s field has a synchro monster, he can summon Mirror Resonator. Its level becomes the same as the opponent’s synchro monster, so it becomes level 6. He tunes it to Power Supplier to synchro summon Crimson Blader (ooh shiny!). He attacks Turbo Warrior with Crimson Blader, dropping Yusei’s LP to 900. When Crimson Blader destroys a synchro monster, the opponent cannot summon next turn. TURN END.
Rua has some flashbacks about Yusei and Jack teaching him to never give up and be a man. Since the twins are short and all, the animators took the chance to show Aki’s boobs as much as possible lol.
Yusei’s turn. He activates the speed spell, Angel’s Baton (I hope you all know what it does now…) to draw 2 cards and send 1 to the graveyard. He draws Scrambled Egg and Fake Gardener, and sends the latter to the graveyard. Since he can’t summon any monsters this turn, he sets 1 card face down and TURN END.
Jack’s turn! He knows that Fake Gardener is a card that can be summoned when receiving a direct attack, because it’s been that way since they were children. Jack and Yusei have some beautiful friendship time, talking about how even now, they haven’t changed from when they were children 🙂 They won’t change, even in the future. Beautiful friendship is beautiful~ After Jack’s battle phase, Red Demon’s and Stardust will return to their respective fields. Jack directly attacks Yusei with Crimson Blader. However, when directly attacked, Fake Gardener can be special summoned in defense position from the grave. Jack activates the trap card, Breakthrough, which destroys monsters special summoned during battle phase. Fake Gardener is destroyed. Jack once again tried to direct attack, but Yusei activates the Scrambled Egg he set earlier. When a monster on his field is destroyed, he can special summon from either his deck, hand, or graveyard Road Runner. Road Runner is summoned in defense position, but it can’t be destroyed by monsters with 1900 or more ATK points. Battle phase ends, and their signature dragons return.
When he was duelling ZONE, Yusei saw his father and decided to guide people’s hearts through the Momentum. Even if everyone leaves, he’ll still be able to reach their hearts. Yusei decides to stay in Neo Domino City and hesitates no more. Jack will duel to the very end with his BURNING SOUL!! He activates Speed World 2’s effect, removing 7 speed counters to draw a card. He draws Chain Resonator and summons it. When it is successfully summoned and the opponent’s field has a synchro monster, he can special summon another “Resonator” monster. He summons Dark Resonator.
Jack double tunes Red Demon’s Dragon, Chain Resonator and Dark Resonator to summon SCAR-RED NOVA DRAGON (yes, I have to type it in bolded all caps)!! For each tuner mosnter in the graveyard, Scar-red Nova Dragon’s ATK goes up by 500. There are 5 tuners in Jack’s grave, raising Scar-red Nova Dragon’s ATK to 6000.
And there ends ep 153!
Ep 154 starts off with an older Ruka on the back of Rua’s D-wheel. She gets off, takes off her helmet, and all these dudes blush at her XD She tells Rua to slow down when driving, but Rua says he’s gonna become the world’s Riding Duel champion so that’s not possible. He then speeds off. Two girls run up to Ruka, and squeal at how cool her onii-san is. Lolololol. Since there’s no uniform, I can safely assum that Ruka is now at a university. Then it cuts to a shot of Crow deciding to leave a duelling team. The other people are raging cuz they haven’t become world champions yet, but Crow says he’s gonna rely on his own power now, just like Jack!
Jack is the KING again with hordes of fangirls, and these interviewers ask him about Crow challenging him. Aki is now a doctor sitting at her office. A nurse comes running to her crying, and Aki tells her to never give up. The nurse asks her why she’s so manry, and then it cuts back to the Jack vs. Yusei duel.
Jack has a 6000 SRD on his field. He places 1 card face down and TURN END. Yusei’s turn. Clear Mind plays! He activates Speed World 2’s effect to remove 7 speed counters and draw a card. He draws and summons Mach Synchron. He tunes Road Runner and Mach Synchron to summon Formula Synchron. Mach Synchron’s effect returns monsters used as synchro material besides itself to the hand. Also, when Formula Synchron is summoned, a card can be drawn. CLEAR MIND! He turns Stardust to Formula Synchron to Accel Synchro summon Shooting Star Dragon! Scar-red Nova vs. Shooting Star — I think everyone has been waiting for this. Jack’s LP is at 2900 and Yusei is in the red zone with 900 LP.
Scar-red Nova can negate one attack, but since it can only do it once, Yusei activates SSD’s effect to draw tuners. He draws 3 tuners, allowing to attack 3 times.
Driving on the other side of the road is a truck with Yusei’s old friends from Satellite, whose names all escape me aside from Rally’s. They’re complaining about having to move aside for a duel, but then go like “HOLY SHIET IT’S YUSEI AND JACK!!!1” Yusei attacks Crimson Blader with SSD, dropping Jack’s LP to 2400. However, he can’t attack SND because it’s fucking overpowered at 6000 ATK so he places 2 cards face down and TURN END.
Jack’s turn! He activates the continuous trap, Scar-Red Cocoon, which negates the opponent’s effect when Scar-Red Nova Dragon attacks. He attacks Shooting Star, but Yusei activates the trap card High End Road. The user must send 1 card from the deck to the graveyard, If that card is a monster, SSD’s ATK will increase by that monster’s attack. This can be done 3 times, but his monster will be destroyed when its ATK exceeds the opponent’s monster.
Yusei first draws the 1000 ATK Sonic Warrior, raising SSD’s ATK to 4300. Then he draws the 900 ATK Speed Warrior, raising SSD’s ATK to 5200. Jack tells Yusei to give up because if he doesn’t draw a 800 ATK monster then he’ll lose, and also his road up ahead is a dead end wiht a gaping hole and he’ll fall if he continues. Yusei jumps through and draws his third card in midair. Flying over lava, he turns over his card to find Bolt Hedgehog, 800 ATK. Shooting Star’s ATK becomes 6000 and the tow dragons destroy each other. However, when Scar-red Nova Dragon is destroyed with Scar-red Cocoon equipped, Red Demon’s Dragon will be summoned at End Phase. Yusei finally lands on a piece of road and activates the trap card Crush Star (?), which allows him to summon one monster each from the hand and the graveyard that has under 1000 ATK in defense position when a Synchro monster on his field is destroyed. He summons Road Runner and Sonic Warrior, and Jack ends the turn. Red Demon’s Dragon returns.
Yusei’s TURN! THE OPENING SONG PLAYS! Something about that is so epic. He summons Junk Synchron, and once it is summoned, he can special summon a lvl 2 or under monster from the graveyard in defense position. He summons Speed Warrior. Then, when the field has a tuner monster, Bolt Hedgehog can be special summoned from the graveyard.
These are the low-level cards that Yusei have always used. So nostalgic. Yusei tunes Sonic Warrior to Junk Synchron to summon Junk Warrior! Jacks’s like “WTF Junk Warrior instead of some broken asspull!?” When Sonic Warrior is used as synchro material, all lvl 2 or under monsters on the field have their ATK raised by 400. Then, when Junk Warrior is summoned, its ATK increases by adding the ATK of all other monsters on the field. Adding up the remaining 3 monsters’ ATK, Junk Warrior now has 5500 ATK. This is the power through BONDS!!! Yusei decides to stay in the town, and attacks Red Demon’s Dragon with Junk Warrior. A gigantic holographic explosion happens, and Jack’s LP drop to 0.
Yusei says that Jack can return any time, because he’ll be waiting. Everyone drives up to them, saying they they’ve decided their futures. Crow will go to the pro league, and Aki will study overseas at a medical school. Ruka and Rua go to live with their parents.
Jack is sitting at his usual cafe. He has…lots of fairwell presents (and Carly, who is pretending to be luggage). Jack drives off, ditching his 3 fangirls XD They all decide to wait for him.
Yusei opens his garage to find Aki inside. She nearly confesses, but then she stops and says “It’s good to have met you.” He admits that he was scared of her when he first met her lol. Then he says that her smile can’t lose to anyone and grabs her hand. Here, we find out that Yusei can joke and laugh. No, seriously. Then they part. I guess that’s as much romance as YGO gets. Faithshippers got trolled, but that’s nothing special since they probably knew they were gonna get trolled from the beginning. It’s freaking Yu-Gi-Oh!
At night, Yusei can’t sleep so he stands outside. He has a final talk with Ushio, who says they’ve become more like adults. Then Yusei stands up on the ledge.
All that motorcycle riding probably increased his balance.
The next day, they all get on their D-Wheels (Rua and Ruka on those duel boards) and drive off. The Crimson Dragon appears and removes their Signer birthmarks. RIDING DUEL, ACCELERATION!
;_; 5D’s ended. I had been watching since the first episode. These 3 years were fun. Jack was so damn cool all the way ’til the end 😀 Yusei beating Jack using the FIRST MONSTERS WE’VE EVER SEEN HIM USE is so refreshing…Although I still wanted Jack to win. BURNING RAAAAAGE
I kinda got used to typing up “summaries” (read: walls of text) every week that I would feel empty if that suddenly stopped, so I guess I’ll blog ZeXal.
