March Break is ending, and I’ve got school again on Monday. *insert standard emo rant about holidays ending here* Yeah, so now I’ve got 15 more weeks until school ends. I’ve been doing nothing but browsing the internet (mostly GameFAQs and TVTropes) and playing Pokemon. Unfortunately, people around me have different ideas of “enjoyable things” so they’ve just seen me as a unproductive slouch during the break. OK, so maybe I really am an unproductive slouch, but I’m having fun! And I actually get my work done if I have any! …Ok fine, I’m kinda happy to see my nakama again. Kinda. Doesn’t outweigh school, but gotta look on the bright side.
Well, I can’t really look on the bright side when Skies of Arcadia is impossible to find in real life and $50+ used on the internet. Just about the only place where I found it reasonably priced (glyde.com) doesn’t ship to USA. FUUUU– Radiant Historia is no longer expensive due to Atlus’ reprint, it seems. And it never ran out in my area in the first place. RPGs are so unpopular here, I think you might be able to find Hexyz Force new around here. I just saw like 2 stores with RH, and one of them is Best Buy (which usually never stocks niche games here). I found DQ5 new several times in the past year, too. I guess niche is niche. I might pick up DQ5 one of these days, and I’m heading to Anime North in May so I hope to buy some old games there (desperately hoping for SoA). I remember seeing the GBA version of Tales of Phantasia there, so they must have something that I desperately want.
Oh yeah, and this will definitely put a drain on my savings. I’m $100 away from a PS3, and I don’t want to resort to using my $100 of emergency savings. Good thing my birthday is in July, so I might be able to fill in the gap from AN using gift money. I’ll be praying to the skies too that my job application to Wonderland got accepted so I’ll be able to make cash during the break.
Devil Survivor Overclocked — another thing that would dent my wallet. Thank god I’m not buying a 3DS yet, although it’s getting more tempting by the day. I never played the original, so I’d be IN DESPAIR if I miss this one. June 28…Well, RPGs aren’t popular in my area, right? I can wait a few months, right? …(hopefully)
Well, teenage angst never ends. Neither does human greed, for that matter. Time to play mai Pokeymans/Wild Arms 3/whatever else is in my backlog.
