That our robot shrimp god ZONE is an old and wrinkly Yusei from the future. Yes, because the man dressed in Yusei’s clothes with Yusei’s motorcycle that appeared in Bruno’s flashback as ZONE is obviously not Yusei despite the fact that he has become a legendary duelist by then and eveyone should recognize his clothes and D-wheel. /sarcasm
Now that I have gotten the biggest spoiler of the episode out of my way, let’s go back to duel translation attemp #…I forget, let’s leave it at n. Anyways, episode 148 continues from Yusei and ZONE’s duel that started last episode. ZONE has Metaion on his field and one face down card, and it switches to Yusei’s turn. Meanwhile, all the people who are being evacuated out of the city stop to watch the duel happening on the monitors which are somehow working. Lol, even when you’re gonna die, you can’t resist watching a card game (although it is the important duel to save the city, so maybe going back means they truly have faith in Yusei). The MC, in the middle of leaving the city, drops a microphone on the ground after bumping into some guy.
Yusei summons Double Delta Warrior, which can be special summoned if there is a monster on the opponent’s field. Then he special summons Big Eater (Tuner monster) by sending two cards in his hand to the graveyard. Since there is a Tuner on his field, he special summons Bolt Hedgehog (one of the two cards he sent to the grave previously) from the graveyard. He normal summons Debris Dragon, which allows him to summon a monster from the graveyard with 500 or less ATK and its effect negated if successfully summoned. So finally, he summons Clear Effecter thing (the other card sent to the graveyard). Yes, he summoned all those monsters in one turn. His future self is using trap cards from his hand, so SCREW THE RULES my opponent is screwing them anyways. Yusei tunes Double Delta Warrior and Big Eater to Synchro summon Black Feather Dragon, and tunes Bolt Hedgehog + Debris Dragon + Clear Effecter to Synchro summon Red Demon’s Dragon. Somehow Yusei memorized his friends’ Synchro chants word for word, and does it with them when their dragon gets summoned.
Now everyone stops to watch the duel, and MC arrives epically to provide commentary for the duel. Badass MC is badass. A monster that used Double Delta Warrior as Synchro material this turn cannot battle, and a monster that used Clear Effector as Synchro has its effects negated. Therefore Red Demon’s Dragon’s effect of destorying monsters on its side of the field that didn’t attack won’t activate. Also, Clear Effecter being used as Synchro material lets Yusei draw a card. He sets 2 cards face down and TURN END.
ZONE’s turn. Jikaishin Metaion returns to the deck during his stand-by phase. Apparently, all of the Jikaishin will return to the deck during stand-by phase. ZONE gives a speech that basically summarizes into DESPAIR, and then activates the continous trap he used in the duel with Aporia, Zero Machine Ein. Using Zero Machine Ein, he summons Jikaishin Razion, which will return all cards on the opponent’s field and graveyard to the deck during battle and shuffle. Then it will inflict 1000 dmg each time the opponent draws. He attacks Red Demon’s Dragon, but Yusei activates Scrap-Iron Scarecrow (y’know, the trap he spammed every duel for the first 64 episodes?) to negate the attack. ZONE sets one card face down and TURN END.
Yusei’s turn. He draws, and receives 1000 damage due to Razion’s effect, dropping his LP to 3000. The impact from the damage causes him to nearly crash into a building. Playing a card game on a motorcycle in mid-air is even more dangerous. Good thing our main character escaped from a blackhole, so I guess crashing into a building wouldn’t be that bad. I mean, if he crashes backwards his D-wheel can protect him. Yusei activates the speed spell Angel Baton, which lets him draw 2 cards and send 1 to the graveyard if he has 2 or more speed counters. He draws Regene Warrior and Junk Synchron, then sends Regene Warrior to the graveyard. However, Regene Warrior can be special summoned when sent to the graveyard. Then he summons Junk Synchron and tunes it with Regene Warrior to Synchro summon Black Rose Dragon. He activates Black Rose Dragon’s effect which destroys all cards on the field. Everyone suddenly goes WTF and makes all these shcked expressions, but Yusei activates the trap Synchro Barrier which negates the card-destoying effect and deals 500 damage to the opponent for each Synchro monster on his field. ZONE receives 1500 dmg and crashes into a building, dropping his LP to 2500. TURN END.
All the people evacuating from the city are all cheering for Yusei, and ZONE returns with his mask cracked. Parts of his mask falls off, revealing the exact same face marker as Yusei but with loads more wrinkles. Here, have another pciture of wrinkly ZONE from the next episode preview:
