Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s 147 – Motorcycles can fly and accelerate in mid-air

Continuing from where we left off last episode, Aporia just drew After Glow, which will be the card that will let him win…or that’s what he thinks. Of course we can’t have him defeating Z-ONE, because Yusei needs the spotlight.

Aporia attacks Z-ONE’s Temporal Machine God Metaion (Jikaishin Metaion, you know the thing I had no idea how to spell or pronounce last time? Ok fine, one of the many monsters that I couldn’t pronounce) with Sky Core. Sky Core is destroyed due to Metaion’s effect, which lets Aporia summon Machine Emperor Skiel. Aporia activates ハイレード ドロー (Haireedo Draw?) which destorys all monsters on his own field and allows him to draw a card foe every two monster destoryed. Since Skiel is made up of 5 parts, he draws 2 cards. He then activates Mirai Hakai (Lit. Destroy Future), which sends a number of cards from his deck to graveyard equal to his hand. Since there’s 12 cards in his hand, 12 cards get sent from his deck to his grave. He has no cards left in his deck now, but it turns out that this was his plan all along.

Aporia activates the spell card “After Glow.” The card will return to his deck and get shuffled. If he draws After Glow again next turn, 4000 damage will be dealt to the opponent, resulting in Z-ONE’s loss. Since that thing is the only card in his deck and Z-ONE’s monster has 0 ATK anyways, he can just survive the turn, draw his card, and win, right…? TURN END.

Z-ONE’s turn. In his standby phase, Jikaishin Metaion returns to the deck. Then he activates the continuous trap Zero Machine Ein’s (lol my translating attempt was significantly off) effect, which lets him summon a lvl 10 or up monster when there are no monsters on his field. Z-ONE summons the second Jikaishin, Jikaishin Razion. It is revealed that there are ten Jikaishin. TEN of these freaking annoying 0 ATK cards. Fuck, do I have to watch Yusei face through TEN of those next episode!? This is gonna be like the Persona 3 final boss fight, except you’re not the one fighting so 10x more boring. Dammit. And it seems like all the Jikaishin will have that creepy face in the center.

Anyways, Razion also cannot be destroyed, and is also at 0 attack. Z-ONE directly attacks Aporia with Razion. When Razion attacks, it will return all of the cards in the opponent’s graveyard back to their deck if there are no monsters on their field. That’s 33 cards from Aproia’s graveyard, screwing over his plan. If Aporia was the main character then maybe he’ll still be able to draw After Glow, but the writers applied realistic drawing probabilities to him so he draws Grannel instead. When the opponent draws, Razion will inflict 1000 damage to him. Aporia receives the damage, dropping his LP to 0. Before shutting down, he chucks a piece of metal at Yusei’s D-wheel, making glowing wings emerge from it for a second.

It is revealed that the cast is currently standing at the tip of the Arc Cradle, defying gravity. The Arc Cradle is close enough for them to see Neo Domino City. Yusei decides to duel Z-ONE. Yes, this will be simply Yusei vs. Z-ONE, but everyone gives Yusei their Signer Dragon (and Rua gives both Life Stream Dragon and Power Tool Dragon). Since according to the YGO Wikia, LSD is a Synchro Tuner, Yusei will probably tune all the Signer Dragons together to do either Delta Accel Synchro or some sort of Synchro that surpasses even Delta Accel. *Crycrycry* I actually kinda wanted an everyone vs. Z-ONE duel, something like final battles of Super Sentai series. Then again, that’ll probably take too much effort to write well in a card game.

Anyways, glowing wings sprout from Yusei’s D-wheel, and he takes off t0 face our floating robot shrimp god Z-ONE in mid-air. Apparently Z-ONE was the one who caused everything Yusei did and everyone has just been living as planned. But screw destiny, Yusei’s gonna summon a hugeass dragon and win with it.

Z-ONE takes the first turn, and special summons this thing (a Jikai/Temporal Machine, but not a God) which can be special summoned if there are no cards on the field. I couldn’t catch the card’s effect, but it allows him to release it and summon Metaion. He sets one card fasce down and TURN END. The episode ends with Yusei’s draw in his turn.

Well, I’m kinda disappointed that Jack and the others are just watching this duel because I really liked the duel at the end of the Dark Signer arc. However, I highly doubt that Yusei vs. Z-ONE will go on for 7 episodes (I think the writers have learned their lessons about extremely long duels before 5D’s started because most of the duesl are 1-2 episodes long now) so maybe there will be another duel later on? Ah well, at least Yusei’s got all the signer dragons and no longer has to abuse Stardust like crazy.

  1. Actually Sky Core didn’t attack Metaion, Aporia used a trap (Double Tribute) that tried to destroy Metaion after Sky Core was summoned. Since Metaion couldn’t be destroyed, the effect resolved as much as possible… seeming as if the trap doesn’t target like Hammer Shot….
