Remember how back in earlier arcs people kept saying that Rua was the fifth signer, etc. because his Power Tool Dragon looked similar to the fifth dragon? And remember how fans were like WTF when Crow turned out the be the fifth signer and got Black Feather Dragon? Well, this episode is good for them Rua fans. He is the sixth signer, and the owner of the yellow Life Stream Dragon. I honestly don’t know whether this was an asspull from the writers or just simply brilliant, because I could not see this coming and thought that the writers gave up on the whole 5 dragons thing. They didn’t say anything about the fifth dragon for so long that I just thought they gave up an assumed it died with Godwin or Rudger.
Life Stream Dragon is level 8 with a whopping 2900 attack. This is also Rua’s crowing moment of awesome, since he got to zero life points in a duel where you take real damage and life points = real life, and then revived with the effect of a card. Then he proceeded to recieve a birthmark (I can’t really tell what part of the dragon it is…the fingernail?) and summon his new shiny yellow dragon with 2900 atk whose story has been ignored for so damn long. I guess leaving only Ancient Fairy Dragon to protect the twins is no good.
The situation doesn’t look very good for Ruka, because the life points are connected to the duelist’s life and her body is weak so her life points are decreasing one point by one point and it’s already at 100. And Jack, do something! I want to see Jack be awesome too.
Since 5D’s stood for 5 Dragons, should it be 6D’s now? Poor Rua though, finally becoming a Signer when 5D’s is nearing its end. Isn’t it sad?
Life Stream Dragon. When you abreviate its name it becomes LSD.
