Not sure if it’s just a port or a remake, but I’m still happy that Persona 2: Innocent Sin coming for PSP. The PSX version is like $100+ right now, so I’m really looking forward to this. Now only if it’s gonna come out in English…Innocent Sin didn’t get localized, but can I hope this time? I mean, they’ve been more lenient on content in videogames than ten years ago, so maybe Atlus will do it this time. Just having P2 on the PSP is good enough, but I’ll love Atlus even more if they actually updated the graphics and battle system. I love P4’s battles too much.
I know there’s a huge mass that don’t see much point in remakes and want companies to focus on releasing new games, but remakes are really beneficial to younger people. I mean, it’s not the little boy’s fault that he didn’t get to enjoy a quality game released before he was born or when he was 5, right? For little kids born in 2000, it would be pretty hard for them to find Pokemon RBY or GSC when they start getting into videogames. Videogames are different from music. Consoles continue to change, whereas CD players can play any CDs no matter what. CDs can keep on being reprinted since CD players are pretty common, but kids these days rarely have GameBoy Colors anymore. For the sake of them kids who are born later (and myself who only started gaming during late elementary school), I pray that the PSP remake of Persona 2: Innocent Sin will make it to North American shores.
If not, I’ll buy it anyways. The amazing story that SMT fans have been praising–I’ll see it for myself!
