Old news, but have a look at Otomate’s upcoming game’s OP:
Holy shit, even if this Otome games is about elementary school kids, it’s just too pretty. I think this is the best art I’ve ever seen in an otome game. Man, maybe I should import and mod my PS2…
When it comes to otome games (or video games in general), I’m a gameplay > graphics type of person. I like them with interesting/fun gameplay rather than just plain visual novel. Maybe it’s because the less complicated text, the better XD Although Hiiro no Kakera had good story, I had more fun playing the gameplay-orientated TGMS and HaruToki series. Clock Zero, however, has art too beautiful to ignore so I’m interested. Unfortunately, I’ll have to go through the process of modding (or learning how to do it) and importing expensive Japanese console games. Damn, the art is so pretty, the plot actually sounds pretty interesting, and THAT CG OF THE RED-HAIRED 6TH GRADER WITH AN EYE PATCH BEATING PEOPLE UP IS SO FREAKING FULL OF WIN! Seriously, it’s a badass little kid!
Since Clock Zero looks really good, PSP port in the future please? Then it’d be slightly cheaper and not require modding. If it sells as much as the Hiiro no Kakera games, maybe it’ll get a port. I mean, they’ve ported HnK 3, 4 and the remake of 2. If Clock Zero is as awesome as it looks, it should sell quite a bit. Enough to get ported? I’ll be keeping my eye on otome game news.
